On “Number One Spot” from Ludacris’ Red Light District, he rhymed about having a party and everyone being invited.

Well, not quite: I wasn’t invited (directly) to Luda’s 30th birthday dinner last night in Las Vegas.

But our Whitney-Gayle Benta was, and she gave me the rundown on how it all went down.

Luda kept it swanky with a formal sit-down dinner at Rio. Almost five-star meal status, according to Whit. The meal started off with a nod to Luda’s Southern roots as mac and cheese, collard greens and chicken were served.

But they were in an Italian restaurant, after all, so eggplant parm soon came through.

Joining Luda for the festivities were actress Gabrielle Union, Chingy and comedian A.J. Johnson.

Theeeeeeeeeeeeeen, in Whit’s words, it was time for the specially designed cake, which was made like a roulette table with Luda’s name on it.

By this time, Polow Da Don, Quincy Jones and his daughter, Kidada, and Cassie and Ryan Leslie came through to bring the birthday boy their best wishes.

One of the highlights, Whitney said, was the DJ, who not only spun Luda’s hits but interspersed cuts from the DTP CEO’s movies, from his roles in “Hustle & Flow” and “Crash” on flat-screen TVs lining the restaurant’s walls.

And although Luda rhymes about his rep with the ladies, on this night, he was joined by the most important lady his life: his mom, who was his date.

Now make sure I get that invite next year, Luda!
