Inside The Palms’ Hefner Suite, Kanye West-Style
We already told you all about the Palms’ famous fantasy suites, but now that Kanye West is moving into the Hugh Hefner Sky Villa for Sunday’s Video Music Awards, it’s undergoing quite a transformation.
Gone are the pictures of Playmates, most of the mirrors (save the one above the rotating bed) and all traces of the famed Playboy logo. Instead, the walls have been plastered with brightly colored mushrooms, floating psychedelic eyeballs and — you guessed it — a whole lot of Kanye Bears. It’s all the handiwork of famed Japanese artist Takashi Murakami (he also illustrated the cover of West’s upcoming Graduation album), and it’s given the whole suite the feel of being lost inside an anime. Or West’s “Stronger” video. It’s a breathtaking alteration, but I can’t say I’m totally surprised … after all, this is Kanye West we’re talking about.

Yep thats Kanye alright i bet he was partying all day yesterday. I wish i could see it. But im still gonna watch the Vma And i hope he wins for stonger cause that video took 3 months too shoot and the animation is just crazy and the plot is so well thought out he deserves best video its just unique and kanye plus HYPe WILLIAMS directed it he just the best i hope you win kayne i know you will.

NO BETTER PERFORMANCE THE ENTIRE EVENING. HOWEVER, HE SHOULD BE HONORED TO PERFORM IN THE HEFNER VILLA AND THERE WAS NO NEED FOR HIM TO QUESTION WHO OPENS OR WHO PLAYS WERE OR WHO WINS AN AWARD. TIMBERLAKE SHOWS MORE CLASS AND GIVES OUT NOTHIN BUT LUV THATS WHY HE WALKS AWAY WITH THE TROPHYS.

Why are you reporting on this? Give me a break. West is a conceited, arrogant has-been who thinks he’s God’s gift to radio. He threw a tantrum because he only got to perform in the suite and not the main stage, but who cares? No one watches the VMA for the performances. They watch it for the awards, of which, he one zilch. So why is he worth discussion? Let’s move on.

Don’t get me wrong I think Kanye did a perfect job last night. Just what he was put there to do. But the one thing he did wrong again was bring up this god damn colour issue s*** again. He didn’t get to open up because his skin colour is wrong. I am sick of that s***. He is the most racist person I have ever seen. Nas, Kanye West, are the only real Rappers around. It’s about time USA had a 24/7 hip hop station with real HiP Hop performers. The so-called Hip hop performers MTV play are just jokes. MTV is out of touch and very racist.

I am a big Hip Hop fan, well Jay Z is now a Boss the world is calling out for a HIP HOP station. I think it’s a insult for Nas, Jay Z, eminem 50 Cent, etc to share a stage with Britney or Timberlake both are mickey mouse creation and there have no talent what so ever. Secondly I am a white Italian rapper I hope Jay Z, come to Europe and sign up some European rappers. It would be great to have a international Hip Hop station. I don’t rap about material things either. I talk about green issues also about racism, sexism, and human respect for each other I come from a part of Italy where we face many things like people from the hood that why HIP HOP is so relevant when it good it address world issues like Blood Diamond etc. Kanye West is great, he doens’t need MTV it about time real HIP HOP star where promoted. We know that the media and music industry is controlled by Whites and whining only makes them worse. What will help is if you simply comment on how disappointed you are that you lost and how you hope next year will be better (less the attitude). Be happy that you got a suite to rock the night, while others didn’t. You’re still making mad cash and awards don’t make you who you are. I love Kanye. When he first dropped “through the wire” I was like “ok that’s cool”. But he has really surprised me since then. He is by far, my favorite artist to listen to now. I have only been eager to go cop one other CD that I can remember, since PAC passed, and that was The Game’s first joint. Tomorrow morning, I will be taking my CD player to the mall with me, so I can pop it right in after I buy it and go work out. Motivation.

I think Kayne West is a very talented artist, but it seems he getting a little bit arrogant. What about my boy T.I. He’s doing the damn thing and he’s not signed to a major record label. He should use this as motivation instead complaining about it. We all know that controversy is what the media strives for. If you listen to most of the people that were tuning in to the VMA wanted to see what was going to happen with Britney Spears. Him being worried about Britney is the least of his worries. Kanye is hot right now, why didn’t he perform the opening of the VMA’s?? Maybe then, brit would have been spared the embarrassment. Kanye West, got it right MTV award show is racist and it apartheid, why is the a side stage and a centre stage and only white allowed to proformed on the centre stage. Also when Michael Jackson, was the biggest star in the world MTV refused to play him, CBS Records now (Sony) told MTV unless you play our biggest selling artist Michael we will put all our other artist. Whitney, was also the biggest selling female at the time the also refuse to play her Clive Davis, had to bring them to court. MTV have a history of apartheid and racism this isn’t news. Kanye is one of the hottest artists out right now with an all new fresh style. He was robbed at the VMA’s. He releases hit after hit and no recognition, c’mon. Something is definately wrong here. Not trying to add to the hate but Britney should’ve never opened, when I first heard she was I thought it was a joke. She has’nt been out forever and now she gets the spotlight, and seriously did MTV really think her performance was gonna be hot. Kanye has a right to be p!ssed off, I would be to.
