Allow us to introduce ourselves! Although we are stressed to the max preparing to be Warped Tour Road Goddesses (beginning in just 24 hours!!!) we made some time to write out just a little snack of what we’re about – the experiences, the hopes, the dreams and the music that makes us, well, us! Enjoy!

SHAIA REBECCA MOORE

Shaia is blonde and 20 years old. Born to a musician father, she grew up in a house filled with every musical instrument imaginable. Unfortunately, after four years of piano lessons, it became painfully obvious that she would never follow in her father’s footsteps. Although she cannot play the music she loves, she has no problem voicing her opinions about it.

In the fall, she will begin her Junior Year at the University of Southern California where she will work to earn a Master’s Degree in Journalism. She aspires to become a music journalist so that her daily rants about rock music will not only be published, but admired by those just as cynical and music addicted as she is.

If Heaven exists, hers would include poetry readings by Kurt Cobain and karaoke with Marilyn Monroe. Her favorite bands are Death Cab for Cutie and Fall Out Boy. She prays that Ben Gibbard really will follow her into the dark, and that Pete Wentz will one day thank her for the memories.

Her favorite movie is Fight Club and she quotes Chuck Palahniuk books more than she should. She’s listened to “Wonderwall” every night since she was 13, but still couldn’t tell you exactly what a wonderwall is.

Her first real celebrity crush was on MTV News Correspondent Gideon Yago. He instilled in her the lust for intelligent boys in thick-rimmed glasses. She’s not sure whether to thank him or curse him for her many broken hearts.

She loves thunderstorms and believes that the devil created black olives.

LISA ASHTON CASSERLY

Lisa is 20 years old and a Journalism Major at Cal State Long Beach. She is entering into her final semester and is overjoyed at the idea of never having to take another Midterm.

She is currently an intern at the entertainment public relations firm American Rebel in West Hollywood. In her spare time she waits tables for the most repulsive manager on the planet. She is counting the days until she can save up enough cash to quit.

Although you may never guess by meeting her, she grew up in the most All American family imaginable. Her father is a judge, let’s just leave it at that.

Her idea of perfection is Newport Beach, a Diet Coke and Cartel blaring through her IPOD. She has an insanely teenybopper-status crush on Tim from Plain White T’s. She would tell you his last name, but she doesn’t know it. All she knows is that he’s HOT!

She lives in black reef sandals and short skirts. Envy on the Coast sings, “The shorter the skirt, the bigger the fame,” and she took it to heart. New Found Glory, back when they were A New Found Glory, spawned her love of punk music.

She is not alive in the morning without at least one caffeinated beverage and she has an affinity for boys who use big words. If you want to impress her, try using words with more than two syllables. Just a suggestion.

Want more? Well lucky for you, we’re going to be around for a while! So even if you didn’t score tickets to Warped this summer (which we hope you did because only at Warped can you see Paramore, Underoath and Circa Survive all on the same day!!), you can still feel like you were semi-there! Plus, we’ll be sure to put up lots of pictures so you can be jealous…Uhh…we mean, so you can be included on our adventure! Duh! So grab your favorite band hoodie and skinny jeans, put on a ton of black eyeliner (although I doubt you can wear more than us!) and get ready to rock it out this summer with Girls Gone Punk!!
